In addition to Adam's two major TV roles as Nick Tilsley in Coronation Street and Kieran Mitchell in Shortland Street he has appeared in several guest roles in TV series and taken part as himself in two factual series.
Alive: Back to the Andes
Adam participated in this three-part documentary series that recreated the epic ten day journey undertaken by two survivors from the famous Andes plane crash in 1972.
The show was aired in the UK on Channel Five and took Lord Freddie Windsor, Carole Caplin, Jean-Christophe Novelli and Adam on a journey through one of the most inhospitable mountain ranges in the world, trekking the same route undertaken by two of the survivors, Nando Parrado and Roberto Canessa.
The pair survived for 62 days by eating human flesh before setting off on a hazardous ten-day expedition over the Argentinean peaks to Chile in search of help. To reflect the survivors’ experience, the team were restricted to a diet of raw meat and a small amount of chocolate.
Adam competed in The Games for Channel 4 in 2005. 10 famous faces compete against each other in a total of 18 sporting disciplines over nine days to be crowned the champion and to raise money for their chosen charity.
Adam took part as a replacement for Goldie who broke his leg whilst training for the water-skiing event and had to master as many of the events as possible with only two weeks training.
Adam played Roy Storidge in a feature length episode of hit BBC Drama series Judge John Deed.
He played a TV Producer of a Reality TV show (The TV Dungeon) during which a contestant kills another competitor on camera, and he face charges of manslaughter in Deed's court.
Adam has also appeared as himself as a panelist on BBC's Question Time, The Wright Stuff for Channel 5, Richard and Judy, So Graham Norton and Loose Women.
